TALES OF THE RAIN

Pouring rain
Sweeping breeze,
Drenched leaves
Stoned trees...

Polyethene  wrapped heads
Clogged muddy roads,
Vets sneaking into their sheds
And, the wipers at their best...

For some it is the monsoon blues
For some it is the let go mood,
For some it is the relaxing time
And for some it is the introspecting view...

It is the same shower for all
The same gushing wind that calls,
But how we differ in response

It is the personal choice we announce...

And then follows the abrupt silence of the seizing drops
The shimmering dew drops,
The warmth of the invading sun
And the chirpy voices that were shun...

It appears as if somewhere a thirst was quenched
And somewhere it was flooded,
While somewhere it was just apt
Whereas somewhere it never really made any difference...
