I was travelling by train where I came across few people travelling with me. Wasn't really interested in their conversation but there was this one thing that was very catchy... they were reading some horoscope for the year... as this person was reading, others were busy citing examples and giving constant suggestions and opinions...THIS HIT ME VERY HARD!!
Its not just them, in life you are surrounded with people who are ready to give their opinions advises... according to which we are always trained to work considering "AGAR MEIN AISA KARUNGI TOH LOG KYA SOCHENGE" (What will people think if I do this)
In the process of living and satisfying others we forget to live for ourselves... Below whatever I have written is just my "OPINION"
You are born
You are named,
You go to school...
Do have you a say ?
You grow up
Choose to play,
You are curbed...
Do you have a say ?
You finish school
Step forward to make your way,
All your efforts are questioned and challenged...
Do you have a say ?
Four successfully unfortunate year pass
You think now you "MAY",
That's when you get thousands of opinion...
Do you have a say ?
Finally some time to breath and make mark in professional life
You just feel that this is your day,
You are pulled back to family strings...
Do you have a say ?
One fourth of your life
Was never really your life,
The following one fourth...
You are left with no choice
When did we really have any say
Always bound with societal game,
Listening and satisfying everyone...
And then no one to blame
Is that what you have wanted
To live for others,
Are they gonna reconstruct...
For your suffers ?
Except you, all have say
Apparently they know the world and life,
And apparently there are norms to follow...
That's why they give opinions irrespective of their size
For once step aside
Look what you have done,
All these will happen...
Even if you don't listen
For them that is their job
They don't have real deal anywhere,
But for you all your dreams are robbed...
In the end you are by yourself to be scared
Once in life be a man!! (not literally)
Take charge of your life and take a stand,
For your life started and will end one day...
No one comes any time to rescue you from sorrow-land
For life is just once
But these people are many,
Taking a stand for self can be done by one...
But these senseless and hopeless advice are given by Many!!
PS: in our society it ain't that easy to ignore, but we can always make a choice right??
